The characteristic Cilentano village of Trentinara with around 2000 inhabitants is called the Terrace of Cilento because of its absolute panoramic position, presenting the view of the whole Cilento landscape with the seaside until CAPRI. Who desires to enjoy contemporaneously some beautiful walks through the undamaged nature of the Biosphere resort and the long splendid beaches of Paestum with visits of the famous archeological site and museum, has discovered the ideal logistic place to stay. You will find well marked walking- itineraries right from the village up into the enchanting biosphere area of the Park, with beautiful panoramic views and well maintained pathes allowing to walk without need of a personal guide ,which is contrary to many other places in the Park.
The fact of having a range of public busses from the early morning until the later evening is a further advantage considering most of the other Cilento villages, which have less possibilities and maybe only two busses passing per day. In about 20 minutes by bus you can arrive in Paestum, or, circling around by bus you can discover many other places and parts of the Cilento, without need of your own car.
Right beyond the small Piazza San Nicola in the pittoresk centro storico (historical center) with the Early Romanesque church your apartment is (first floor) inside of an ancient little palazzo with your own court-yard, entering through a splendid stone arch with figures of the Early Romanesque period. Walking itineraries of the Park about 10 minutes walk from your place. Nice and and well -done little Trattoria in well restored ancient stone-house 2 minutes from the apartment.
